2020-2026
2020: The year begins with the COVID-19 pandemic and an increased focus on digital technologies at AZO. A task force is established to protect employees' health. The "Prometheus" intelligent conveyor system is installed at the AZO technical center. Video conferences replace in-person meetings, and trade fairs move to virtual platforms. In the fall, AZO successfully passes the SMETA audit.
2021: AZO introduces the "ATOM" model to secure the company's future. Remote work continues even after the peak of the pandemic, enhancing AZO's appeal as an employer while opening opportunities for global talent. The first episode of AZOs own podcast goes online.
2022: The future managing directors of the new business units are announced as part of the ATOM model. In July, AZO celebrates the 100th birthday of its founder, Adolf Zimmermann, with a large event, including the renaming of a central town square in his honor.
2023: The company’s strategic realignment progresses with the establishment of AZO Global Product Center GmbH & Co. KG. In May, Lukas Zimmermann, the founder’s grandson, joins the company’s leadership. The groundbreaking ceremony for a new, modern logistics hall takes place in August.
2024: 75th company anniversary in September 2024 and introduction of our chameleon mascot.
2025: Inauguration of the new logistics hall in April.
2026: At the beginning of the year, Lukas Zimmermann assumed the role of CEO of the Executive Board and joined the management of AZO Holding GmbH.
